BIOS Updates via HPIA randomly ask for BIOS Password on reboot

We have been deploying BIOS updates via HPIA for a while now.

We recently started using a BIOS password on our devices. We created the password .bin file and added it to our HPIA command.

It works well most of the time. But every now and then we get devices prompt for the BIOS password after reboot. Once the password has been entered the BIOS update will start. The password is definitely 100% accurate.

When I look at the logs for the BIOS update you can see it acknowledges the bin file and runs the command with it.

Has anybody seen this before?

we have not heard of this issue in the past... feel free to open an HP Support case so we can look into it... we will need logs, so make sure you run HPIA with the /debug switch... let us know the support case #
