Config manager Task Sequence HPIA issue - Invalid Parameters

Hi, I hope somebody can assist.

I am trying to setup Config Manager to use an offline repository to inject drivers during OSD build. I have followed the given example on hp's Developer Portal | Driver injection with HP Image Assistant and HP CMSL in MEMCM.

The task sequence executes after first reboot into the OS however it fails with the following

02/18/2021 03:39:22 -- Command-Line: C:\_SMSTaskSequence\Packages\ST100774\HPImageAssistant.dll /ipc:536,548,552 /Operation:Analyze /Action:Install /Selection:All /Offlinemode:" \\SERVER\SHARE\Repository\HPIA\_Softpaqs" /SoftpaqDownloadFolder:C:\HPIA /ReportFolder:C:\HPIA\Logs /Noninteractive /Silent /Debug
02/18/2021 03:39:25 -- /OfflineMode Repository path invalid  \\SERVER\SHARE\Repository\HPIA\_Softpaqs
02/18/2021 03:39:25 -- Exiting with exit code: InvalidParameters

\\SERVER\SHARE is set to my correct repositiories

If I run the command from a working OS it completes fine and installs drivers

HPImageAssistant.exe /Operation:Analyze /Action:Install /Selection:All /Offlinemode:" \\SERVER\SHARE\Repository\HPIA\_Softpaqs" /SoftpaqDownloadFolder:C:\HPIA /ReportFolder:C:\HPIA\Logs /Noninteractive /Silent /Debug

Ive tried with quotes around server path, shortening path, different download folders including fqdn but still get the 'InvalidParameters' error

Any assistance or direction would be appreciated

thanks

Re: Config manager Task Sequence HPIA issue - Invalid Parameters

Is your task sequence step an "Install Package" step, or a "Run Command Line" step (refencing the package contents)?

If it's a package, is the program set to run with admin rights? If it is, try adding R/W permissions for "Domain Computers" to the "_Softpaqs" directory.

Just to confirm, "_Softpaqs" is the repo directory that contains the ".repository" folder, correct?

Also confirm that you've run #2 from the blog you linked above.

Re: Config manager Task Sequence HPIA issue - Invalid Parameters

Hi thanks for the reply,

I have now got this to work. I tried all sorts of combinations running from a package and running command lines. The way it now works is to run it from a batch file in the task sequence

I have mapped one drive (y:\)to the HPIA client and another to the repository (Z:\).

cmd.exe /c "HPIA_Launcher.bat"

the bat file contains "Y:\HPImageAssistant.exe /Operation:Analyze /Action:Install /Selection:All /Offlinemode:Z:\ /SoftpaqDownloadFolder:C:\HPIA /ReportFolder:C:\HPIA\Logs /Noninteractive /Debug"

Hope this helps somebody...
