I will forward your request for notification to the Warranty Enablement Team. In the meantime, you can use the warranty webform to immediately check warranty status. It accepts 20 Serial Numbers at a time.   https://support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty/multipleproducts

That is the US English version of the page. In Romania, you will likely have a slightly different URL, which you can find by going to support.hp.com and searching for "Check Warranty."  I know entering the form 15 times is tedious, but the form is available today so you can get on with the business of planning and budgeting while the new Warranty API is in beta.

Hello, I would also like to be addded in the notification list. Im still wondering why HP is not so serious with his customer, Seriously more than a year. It remind me the good old time when I was buying Dell Laptop (Cheaper  than HP) and with a very professional API to check warranty on the fly.

Please HP do not let us down !

Yes, Nick. I will forward your name to the keepers of the "Warranty API Is Back" announcement list.  (It is under development and will be bundled with other HP DaaS offerings. The team is not yet providing a forecast for delivery.)

Hey Warren,

Can you add me to the list as well? Also a HP reseller here using a modified version of a popular warranty lookup PowerShell script along with the Powershell Snek module/Python 3 Idle in preparation of the V2 API. Is there currently a mechanism to at least request an API key so that my script is good to go when HP is finished updating the API? I ask because I'm not authroized to view the CSS Enroll page.

Hello Vincent,

The problem you are facing is that the Warranty API beta was taken down and is being rearchitected for incorporation with a larger suite of DaaS services. So the API is not available now. It WILL be available, but the Tech Pulse team has not announced a date. In the meantime, I will ask the Warranty Enablement team to contact you. They can run a manual warranty report that let's you get on with managing your fleet. They will also let you know when the API returns.

The API we needed from Dell and Lenovo are working perfectly!
Hopefully HP can provide us with a working and stabel API this decade.

We're coming to 3 years and HP has yet to get their act together. I thought Apple was bad, but Apple has ran lapse around HP and has passed HP at this point. The best HP can do is get you to fill out a web form. This is 2022, not 2002.

Ddoan,

I have passed your feedback verbatim to the team leads managing the return of the Warranty API.  Your input has been heard by the people who are working the issues.  The Warranty API will return, but no date has been committed to.  In the meantime, you don't have to use the web form. We can run a manual report for you. You provide the serial numbers and we return to you a Warranty Status report that lets you get on with the business of managing your HP fleet.  While we wait for the automation of the API, will a manual report help you?

When will the API be made available, I have been waiting for over 2 years, I am currently managing over 40,000 HP assets and trying to get their Warranty End Date.  Is there anyone that can help?

Hello Salim - I can report significant progress on the Warranty API, but as the Portal Editor (not a member of the Warranty Team) I cannot give a date when it will once again be opened for General Availability. I will share your frustration with having 40,000 devices to check. THAT is not going to work with a webform.

I agree with the others, this is very frustrating not having an API to check warranty on HPE assets.  Entering hundreds if not thousands of assets manually is a non-starter.  Likewise, providing a list of SN's to HPE to lookup is a waste of everyone's time.  Could someone at least provide some expectations on when or if this service will return?

Hello Mike, I am the Portal Editor (not a member of the Warranty API Team). In your comment, you twice mentioned HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise), which is a different company than HP Inc. HPE makes servers. HP Inc. makes PC, Workstations, and Printers. If you want to check servers, go to Hewlett Packard Enterprise.  If you are after computers, printers, and monitors, then this is the correct site. I can report progress on the return of the HP Inc. Warranty API, but no return date has been announced, and I no longer offer forecasts.
