Download HPLIP

Note: Download the HPLIP tarball in a directory where you would like the HPLIP install directory to be created.

Extract the HPLIP Files

Follow these steps:

  1. Open a terminal shell.
  2. Go to the directory where you downloaded the HPLIP tarball.
  3. Uncompress the tarball:
tar xvfz hplip-3.12.6.tar.gz
  1. Go into the hplip directory:
cd hplip-3.12.6
