Device API

Hello,

We are currently looking into the possibilty of using PrintOS with our HP Indigo machines. One of the things we are interessed in is getting machine statistics into our Backoffice. Are there already API's available for this, is there a list of available API's in general somewhere?

The Device API is intended

The Device API is intended for 3rd party devices to upload status data to PrintOS for tracking purposes.  There is currently no API to pull Device data, but we're working to expand the available APIs and their capabilities.

To help us prioritize can you let me know what kind of information you would be looking to track?

Device API

We can see a lot of information on the press which would like to retrieve. This information is:

- Jobname; - Total job length; - Total copies and Length; - Substrate defined for the job; - Colour control (Contrast, Brightness, Dot area of 50% (Changes LUT) and Optical density of 100%; - Print time; - Total job time (Print time + pauses);

PrintOS API

Hey,

I am also very interested in getting the information of every job out of the HP Print environment into our ERP system.

Perfectly would be a direct export into our SQL Database. An other option could be a manual export of all jobs from a specific time frame online on a website. If these options are all not allowed the last option I think would be to archive jobs as .dfa file and then extract the information out of these files.

Could you give me some recommendations how I am able to get the specific information.

Thanks, Regards

PrintOS Apps

We have a new application in PrintOS which is currently under development which should provide most of the information you are looking for.  There will be an external API which can be used to pull Job data.  Keep an eye out for announcements through PrintOS closer to release.

PrintOS API

I have similar needs as the previous posts have. Any update on the new application in PrintOS? Is it PrintOS Box? or PrintOS Jobs? OpenAPI?

PrintOS Jobs App

This will be in the PrintOS Jobs application when it is released.  The product is currently in beta test and we hope to release it in the next few months.  It will have it's own API posted here on the HP Developer's Portal when the product is officially released.  Please keep an eye out for notifications through PrintOS.

Can we test it also? I am very curious and looking forward what functionality we are getting!

Jobs app

Unfortunately the beta program for jobs is full at this point, and we are just waiting for the official release of the product.  It should be announced through PrintOS sometime later this year.  We still don't have a solid release date yet, so I can't give more detail than that at this point.

Jobs api

Any news? We were hoping to get the UDC but this project has been cancelled. Our hope is on this API.

API for Indigo 12000

Looking for an update on the ability to pull job and operational data from an Indigo 12000. I see the reference to PrintOS and the notation that in the near future there will be an API that will allow for pulling of detailed operations metrics from a Indigo 12000.  If this is not available in the near term, are there other recommended options to retrieving such data.  We are working with a large commercial printer that has other large print lines that can be integrated into an Industrial Internet of Things network via PLC connection as well as manufacturer specific APIs.

Thank you

Warren
